That's right...it's that time again! Below is the Invitation for Fashion Expo 2009 -- we would love to see YOU there!

The All-Stars Relay For Life team would like to cordially invite you to participate in our 2nd Annual Fashion Expo event! Fashion Expo 2008 was an incredible success for our first year, raising over 1 million lindens. We know that 2009 will be even better and would like you to take part in it with us!

Fashion Expo 2009 will take place June 8th - June 14th, 2009. Fashion Expo combines a mixture of different designers and talents into one area. Everything from clothing, to hair, to shoes, to skins, to shapes, to jewelry, to even poses will be represented! If it’s about FASHION, we’ll have it.

This year, to help cover the cost of land fees, we are offering three shop sizes at three different prices. A small space (20×20) will be 1500L, a medium space (30×20) will be 2500L and a large space (40×20) will be 3500L. The small space will be 150 prims, medium will be 300 prims and the large will be 500 prims. There will be a small supply of large shops (currently 6 available) so please respond quickly as these will be first come, first serve. The prims that you receive regardless of booth size will be yours to do with as you please, but please keep in mind there will be setup guidelines released at a later date (no scripts, particles, etc. will be permitted in order to keep lag at a bare minimum).

Each designer will be asked to create a minimum of two original items that will be sold in All-Stars Relay For Life vendors the week of Fashion Expo in your booth. You may have as many All-Stars vendors up with as many items as you would like to have for that week — but please at least have 2.

We will also have a One of a Kind Silent Auction that will take place the entire week of Fashion Expo, and designers are encouraged to contribute a piece for this auction, but it is not mandatory to participate. Last year’s Auction raised over 500,000L, with the highest bid being over 100,000L for a beautiful one of a kind skin from Skin Within… and we would like to make this year even more incredible!

This year’s theme will be all about the the magical, colorful, wonderful Wizard of Oz. Everything from the colors of Munchkin Land to the beauty of Emerald City will be represented. You can keep this theme in mind while designing your creations, or figuring how you would like to decorate your store, but it is in no way a theme you have to follow.

I am sure that you realize by now that “Business in a Box” resellers & freebie resellers will not be accepted into this event. That goes double for stolen content.

Fashion Expo Update! Long overdue!

So sorry everyone for the late response, but as we're winding down RFL my focus has been 110% there! I want to thank you all once again for coming to Fashion Expo 2008, and especially to the designers and organizers for making Fashion Expo 2008 such a success!! We had an incredible turnout and raised over 1,000,000L for RFL!!!

The Fashion Show & One-of-a-Kind auction was also an incredible event and such a success! Our grand total for the One-of-a-Kind auction was over 500,000L and the auction itself featured some amazing talented work by our designers!

I will be posting the rest of the Fashion Expo Fashion Show pictures that I have very soon, and if you have any pictures that you took please feel free to post them in the comments, I'd love to see them!!

When I came up with this idea at the beginning of the year, I did so with the full intention that this would become an annual event...so YES, we'll be back next year for Fashion Expo 2009! More details and information will be coming in the months ahead! I hope to see you all there!

Fashion Expo: Fashion Show and Auction!

The Fashion Expo has been in FULL SWING since Thursday, June 5th and we have raised SO MUCH for RFL so far!!! We have one more day to go, as it all ends Monday evening, June 9th at 9PM SLT! Be sure to head on over to the Unity Park sim (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Unity%20Park/87/110/29) and check out all the great designers! There are EIGHT sims to explore, don't miss it!

You can bid on these FABULOUS creations at the one-of-a-kind auction taking place NOW until Expo close on Monday, June 9th at 9PM SLT! Just take a trip over to the Meboo sim and get those bids in!! Also, at the Fashion Runway, there are the Top Model vendors where you can vote for your favorite model and he or she will win a fabulous model prize pack! All monies from the Top Model contest and of course the auction winnings will benefit Relay For Life! You DON'T want to miss this event....get there before it's all gone!

Wow, Fashion Expo 2008 kicks off in a WEEK! Are you all excited?! This promises to be an AMAZING event, filled with very talented designers and an INCREDIBLE build! It's transforming right before our eyes and we can't wait to share it with all of you!

Now..down to business! Almost 2 weeks ago, we sent out a call for models for our Fashion Show, taking place on June 7th, 2008. We had an OVERWHELMING response, 100+ entrants! That field needed to be narrowed down to under 15 amazing models. It was a hard choice and we thank you ALL for entering!

Fashion Expo 2008: More Room Available + Model Search!!

We have acquired more space for Fashion Expo 2008 and therefore are going to offer spots to TEN MORE Fashion Content Creators!! Clothing, Hair, Shoes, Shapes, Skins, Poses, Jewelry, etc....if YOU create it, come be part of this WONDERFUL cause benefiting the Relay For Life in SL!!

Fashion Expo 2008 will take place from June 5th - 9th. For more information, please check prior posts in this blog OR contact Autumn Fairlane in-world for a notecard with all the info you will need!

ALSO, we will be having a Fashion Show on June 7th to kick off an auction of one-of-a-kind pieces created by our talented designers! We are currently looking for several models to take part in this fabulous event! Below you will find the information needed to enter this contest--please read thoroughly and carefully before submitting. Deadline is Sunday, May 25th!

The FASHION EXPO 2008 will be hosting a Fashion Show on June 7, 2008 in conjunction with the Fashion Expo that will be running from June 5-9th.
A team of 3 judges will be choosing 10 models & 2 alternates to feature the ONE OF A KIND fashions/hair/jewelry/ specifically created for this event. All proceeds from these designs will go to the Relay for Life/American Cancer Society.
This will be a very high fashion NY City atmosphere including the catwalk. All custom built by the amazing Granite Outlander and a definite must see for all even if you do not wish to model. As you could probably figure out, we are VERY excited about this!

There will be a "FASHION EXPO TOP MODEL 2008" selected after the show.
One lucky avatar will walk away with wonderful prizes from our talented & generous designers, not to mention the honor of the title: Fashion Expo Top Model 2008.

When we started this project, I never dreamed we'd get so many talented designers that wanted to take part!! We are now holding Fashion Expo 2008 on TWO sims!! So there is more room for you to sign up TODAY!!! Don't miss your chance! We'll be raising money for Relay For Life in Second Life, as well as h aving a great time doing it!!

For those not aware of Fashion Expo 2008 and what it entails, here's more information for you!

We would like to cordially invite you to participate in the First Annual Fashion Expo, raising money for Relay For Life, taking place June 5th - 9th, 2008. We have rented 2 sims for this event and set up will take place the 3rd and 4th of June.

Fashion Expo 2008 will feature designers from all areas of fashion in SL. From clothing, to hair, to shoes, to jewelry, to skin, to shapes, to modeling poses! Whatever you create that can be worn on an avatar, fits into THIS expo!

Each designer will have their own booth and will be able to display their work for sale to the general public. We ask that you place at least one of our RFL vendors with ONE unique item you've created specifically for this expo. You are more than welcome to place more than one of our vendors if you would like, the more raised for this wonderful cause the better!

We also ask that you create a 2nd unique item, this to be a ONE OF A KIND DESIGN, that will be auctioned off to one lucky high bidder at the end of the expo!

There will be many opportunities for you to reserve advertising space across the sim, as well as a fashion show to show off your UNIQUE design before it is placed up for bidding.

This event will be jam packed with talented content creators, so if you are interested in participating please contact Autumn Fairlane as soon as possible to reserve your spot!! I look forward to hearing from and working with you for this wonderful cause!!
